Engagement model

Supplier inspection programme

For buyers with many orders across several Turkish suppliers: consistent, risk based inspection with portfolio level visibility.

Typical engagement modelThis page describes how such a programme is usually structured. It is not a client case study and contains no client data.

01Situation

A buyer places 30 to 100 purchase orders a year with 10 to 20 Turkish suppliers of machined, cast and fabricated parts. Inspection has been ad hoc, results vary between inspectors and there is no overview of supplier performance.

02Scope of the programme

  1. Criticality rating

Each order is rated by consequence, complexity and supplier history, giving an inspection level.

  2. ITP templates

Standard ITPs per product family with hold and witness points.

  3. Execution

Inspections at defined stages with standard report formats.

  4. Release

Inspection release notes linked to shipment authorisation.

  5. Portfolio review

Monthly summary of results, rejects and supplier trends.
