Electrical equipment and electronics
Electrical equipment must be built to drawings, with the right components and verified by routine tests. We inspect it at the builder.
01Construction, components and tests
Electrical equipment ranges from low voltage panels and MCCs to transformers, cables, lighting, instrumentation and electronic assemblies. Typical issues are component substitution, wiring errors, labelling gaps and incomplete routine testing.
QUALITAS TR inspects electrical equipment against drawings and specifications, witnesses routine and type tests where required and checks documentation.
02Typical quality risks we see
- Unapproved component substitutions
- Wiring errors and loose terminations
- Inadequate labelling
- Missing routine tests
- Insufficient insulation or creepage distances
- Firmware or parameter version issues
03How QUALITAS TR supports electrical equipment and electronics buyers
| Service | What we do in this sector |
|---|---|
| Electrical and Instrumentation Inspection | Panel and equipment inspection with test witnessing. |
| Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) | FAT of control systems and integrated equipment. |
| Supplier Qualification and Capability Audits | Audits of panel builders and electrical manufacturers. |
| Pre-Shipment Inspection | Final inspection of electrical products. |
04Key inspection points
- BOM and component conformity
- Enclosure and IP features
- Busbars and cable sizes
- Termination and ferrules
- Earthing and bonding
- Insulation resistance and dielectric tests
- Functional and sequence tests
- Labelling and documentation
05Standards and requirements
Panels are typically assembled and verified to the IEC 61439 series, machine electrical equipment to IEC 60204-1 and cables to the relevant IEC or EN cable standards.
06The sector in Turkey
Electrical equipment, cable and appliance manufacturing is strong in İstanbul, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, Manisa, Kayseri and Ankara.
