Method
Progress = Σ(weightᵢ × completionᵢ) / Σ weightᵢ
Variance = actual − planned
Progress index = actual / planned
Weights usually reflect the value or hours of each stage. Completion should be verified on the shop floor, not taken from the supplier's estimate.

Report the verified progress, the planned value at the report date, and the forecast for the next milestones. See production expediting.
