Supplier Audits and Assessments
Quality management system audits
An independent view of how well a supplier's quality management system actually works, beyond the certificate on the wall.
01What the service involves
QUALITAS TR performs second-party QMS audits on behalf of buyers. The audit evaluates the supplier's quality management system against ISO 9001 and, where relevant, sector standards such as IATF 16949, AS9100 or ISO 13485, plus your customer specific requirements.
We focus on the processes that most influence product quality and delivery: contract review, design and process planning where applicable, purchasing and sub-supplier control, production control, measurement and calibration, nonconformity and corrective action, and internal audit and management review effectiveness. Environmental (ISO 14001) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001) elements can be added.
02Why buyers need it
Certification audits are sampled and periodic. Buyers need to know whether the system works for their product and their requirements. A second-party audit answers that question directly.
Many buyers also need audit evidence for their own certification or regulatory obligations regarding supplier control.
03Typical applications
- Supplier approval and re-approval
- Annual supplier audit programmes
- Regulated sector supplier control
- Post-incident or for-cause audits
- Gap assessment before supplier certification
- Customer specific requirement verification
