Third-Party Inspection
Packaging, preservation and loading supervision
Good products damaged in transit are still a loss. We verify packing, preservation, marking and the loading and securing of shipments.
01What the service involves
QUALITAS TR inspects export packaging against the packing specification: crate and box construction, wood treatment marking, moisture barriers and desiccants, preservation of machined surfaces, protection of nozzles, flanges and instruments, and shipping marks.
During loading we check container or truck condition, verify quantities and package identification against the packing list, supervise lifting and placement, and confirm lashing, blocking and bracing before sealing. Seal numbers and photographs are recorded.
02Why buyers need it
Corrosion, impact damage and moisture are common causes of claims for industrial shipments, especially for long sea journeys. Many are caused by inadequate preservation or poor securing that an inspection would have caught.
Loading supervision also confirms that the right items, in the right quantity, are actually shipped.
