01Structured quality planning is the norm
Automotive buyers expect suppliers to apply the AIAG core tools and IATF 16949, often with VDA requirements for German customers. Part approval through PPAP, process audits, run at rate and ongoing performance monitoring are standard.

05Standards and requirements
IATF 16949 together with customer specific requirements defines the automotive QMS. Special processes are frequently assessed with AIAG CQI assessments. Functional safety for electrical and electronic systems is addressed in ISO 26262.
06The sector in Turkey
Automotive production is concentrated in Bursa, Kocaeli, Sakarya, İstanbul and Aksaray, with suppliers across Marmara, central Anatolia and the Aegean, including Konya and Manisa.
Turkey is also an important nearshoring base for European automotive buyers.
